GTA VI Gameplay gets leaked: Female protagonist, shooting mechanics, locations, and much more

One of the top game developers in the world, Rockstar Games, recently confirmed that their most popular franchise is getting a new installment after almost 10 years of the release of its predecessor, GTA V. After the massive success of GTA Online and due to the 2020 lockdown, Rockstar had to delay the release of the new installment to GTA.

After tons of rumors and leaks, a GTA VI leak finally surfaced which after getting popular, Rockstar themselves confirmed it to be true. On GTAForums a user named “teapotuberhacker” posted 90 videos claiming it to be the next installment to the GTA franchise.

Even the FBI got into the case since the hack wasn't small but on two multinational companies. They claimed that this leak was performed by the hacker who previously hacked Uber.

Later, Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, took down all the threads and posts containing the videos. Further, Rockstar also mentioned that they were illegally hacked by someone leading to the data breach.

Which location you will explore in GTA VI?

From all the previous leaks, gamers must know that Grand Theft Auto VI will feature a real-life Miami-based city called Vice City. It's finally a relief for OG GTA fans who used to dig up the whole of Vice City as Tommy Vercetti.

From the leaks, inevitably, many locations like the Malibu Club, the Ocean View hotel, Vice Beach, and Little Haiti are returning to GTA VI as well which would give some nostalgic vibes to OG gamers.

Players will be able to explore cities, rural areas, farms, swamps, and even water bodies. Like GTA V and GTA IV, this game is also set in the HD universe of the GTA Franchise. This new Vice City will be much more realistic than the Liberty City or Los Santos from GTA 4 and GTA 5 respectively and will be set in the present time, not the 80s.

The first footage of the leak starts from a strip club which proves that strip clubs will be present in the game, which may be the first location where the game starts as well. Rockstar is also adding airboats for players to cross the swamps. Also, players will be able to go scuba diving as well in the water bodies of Florida and explore the underwater world.

Whom will gamers control in GTA VI?

From the previous rumors, it was already known that GTA VI would feature two main protagonists, one being a male and the other, a female. Both of them, together are a gangster couple, Jason and Lucia name, who is based on the Bonnie-Clyde relationship, a gangster couple from the US.

Players will be able to switch between characters by holding the down button of the D-pad. The characters were highly detailed even in the early development footage of the leak. Tons of animations can be seen in the leaked footage and even protagonists may use their arms to deflect bullets, which is an insane detailing.

Gameplay, side activities, and much more

Rockstar games not only finish after the main story. Rather players can roam around the World of the game, filled with realism. Gamers can also take part in side activities like vehicle races, parachuting, triathlon races, shooting range, etc in GTA games and hunting, gunslinging, farming, etc in Red Dead Redemption. The world is filled with mysteries and easter eggs as well for increasing interest in fans to roam around the World.

Like GTA V, GTA VI will also feature a weapon wheel for players to ease up choosing a weapon, when in combat. Although, unlike the previous GTA games, this time characters won't take out weapons from anywhere. Rather they would only take out weapons slinging from the character's back like in RDR 2. The weapon wheel also contains gears and other items like a medic kit.

This time the cops are more realistic than ever. The cops would remember the color of the character's vehicle after a police chase. So the pay 'n spray days are now over. The only way to beat the law is by abandoning the vehicle and boarding a new one.

Like GTA V and RDR 2, many animal species will make their return in GTA VI as well. Rockstar may introduce the fishing and hunting mechanics as well.

Rockstar took down many videos and posts consisting of the leaked videos. A ton of memes are also surfacing after the leak on social media. Since the leaks are based on the development build of the game, the final build is still at least 2 years away from the official release.
